Hello from the GEAR Colorado Fly Fishing offices. We felt it was necessary to give you the latest Denver Front Range Update.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis facing the United States and Colorado in particular, with a heavy heart, we need to change operationally until further notice.
Effective immediately. As of June 1, 2020, GEAR Colorado Fly Fishing will not be offering trips on the Denver Front Range. Because of the corona virus, the Jefferson County Open Space offices have frozen any new permit applications until further notice. We were unable to get our permit for the 2020 season before the statewide lockdown related to the corona virus.
If you would still like to fish the Denver Front Range, please see the Golden River Sports page. Golden River Sports and GEAR Colorado have agreed to work together over the course of the 2020 fly fishing season.
The Good News from the Denver Front Range Update
Even with a bit of bad news there is some great news to finish out with.
Rocky Mountain National Park is open for business. GEAR Colorado Fly Fishing again has a permit to guide in the Park for the 2020 season! Additionally, the town of Estes Park is open for business!
With the Denver Front Range waters unavailable for guiding we will be guiding almost exclusively in Rocky Mountain National Park. Our staff have been exploring each and every day. The goal being that we can provide exceptional experiences for our clients.
We look forward to booking a trip in the very near future with you! Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times we are face as a country.
